The Rugby Union stand at the Shukumi Sports Day in LavumisaYoung Rugby players at the Shukumi Sports DayThe Swaziland Rugby Union development coaches attended the Shukumi Sports Day held in the town of Lavumisa situated in the south of Swaziland. The coaches held coaching sessions for players of all ages, ending the day with a tag rugby tournament.

Lutfotja on attack against Mangwayane in the finalSix primary schools met in the final of the Attie Lombard Trophy played on Wednesday at the Princess Pholile Sports Ground in Malkerns. Following elimination rounds played at venues throughout the country, the final six schools were, St Andrew's Primary, Mabamba Primary, Mangwayane Primary, Lutfotja Primary, Bhunya Primary and St Mary's Primary.

The playing area at the Mavuso Sports CentreFollowing lengthy discussions the Swaziland Rugby Union are proud to announce that the Mavuso Sports Centre situated in the city of Manzini will be the new home of Swaziland Rugby.  Rugby Union President Michael Collinson made the announcement today at the Rugby Union offices in Malkerns.

Teachers in action at the Dvokolwako Teacher/Coaches workshopEight teachers attended the Teacher/Coaches workshop held at Dvokolwako High school. The teachers were from schools in and around the town of Dvokolwako.

Mdumiseni Sibanyoni on the attackFollowing the game against Marlborough College, scrum half Mdumiseni Sibanyoni was voted Man of the Match.  Rugby Union President Michael Collinson said Mdumiseni played a marvellous game under very difficult circumstances.  He kept his cool and was solid in defence.

The U/19's on the attack against Marlborough CollegeThe U/19's side were in action again on Sunday against visiting side from the UK, Marlborough College.  The game was played at the Vondo's Rugby club ground in Malkerns.

James Gadbury (L) and Tom Holloway (R) with Rugby Union coach Matthew du PontJames Gadbury and Tom Holloway from the UK flew into Swaziland today to join the development coaching team.  James and Tom will be working with the development coaches at the schools and assisting with the U/19's Elite Squad.

Mhlengi Mgabhi going for the lineFollowing the game against St Josephs College played on Thursday at Malkerns, Mhlengi Mgabhi was voted Man of the Match.  "Mhlengi seemed to be everywhere and his tackling was amazing" said coach Naomi du Pont.

Maqhawe Hlongwane on the attack for the U/19'sThursday saw the Swaziland Rugby Union's U/19's Squad take on visiting team St Josephs College from Ipswich in the UK.  This was the first game for the newly formed U/19's Elite Squad and it was to be a true baptism of fire for the Swazi's.  St Joseph's College who are touring Southern Africa arrived in the country on Wednesday after playing in Middelburg seemed confident and ready for action.
