Lutfotja girls on the attack against EkutsimeleniThe Elephants Rugby Club from Luve held a Inter Schools Rugby Day on Saturday at the Emcozini Sports Ground.  The tournament featured both boys and girls at U/16's, U/14's and U/12's level.  Elephants Rugby Club Chairman, Moscow Dlamini and the Elephants Rugby Club committee were at the tournament to cheer on the participating schools.

Wolves U/19's players in actionThe Rugby Union coaches made the trip to Bhunya to hold the U/19's Elite training sessions at the Bhunya Stadium home of the Wolves Rugby Club.  Wolves Club chairman, Bonginkosi Dlamini attended the training session and welcomed both the development coaches and players.

Following a meeting of the Swaziland Rugby Executive committee on Saturday May 1st, Rugby Union Vice President, Sibusiso Nkambule announced the proposed date for the Swazi National 7's Rugby Tournament.  "Having held the very successful Inyeti 7's Rugby Tournaments on a monthly basis where four invited teams participated the Rugby Union executive decided to hold a 7's Rugby Tournament for Clubs from within Swaziland. 

Players at the U/19's Elite Training Session at the Elephants Rugby clubThe U/19's Elite Squad Training moved to the Emcozini Sports Ground, home of the Elephants Rugby Club on Tuesday.   Naomi du Pont welcomed the players and thanked them for attending the session.  "Today we are here to select potential players to join the U/19's Elite Squad and we wish you all good luck today in your efforts to be a part of the selected group of players who will form the U/19's Elite Squad.

Mabamba on the attack against Ngwane CentralThe Scorpions Rugby Club held their Inter Schools Rugby Tournament on Saturday at the SOS Childrens Viilage in Nhlangano.  Scorpions Club Chairman, Thulani Nkomo welcomed the teams and thanked them for taking part in the tournament.

Rugby Development Coach, Naomi du Pont announced the training schedule for the U19's Elite Squad at the Union's offices today.  "The Development Coaches will be holding coaching sessions at fourteen Clubs throughout the country over days over seven days.  Following each training session will invite selected players to join the U/19's Elite Squad.  We are looking to build a squad of +/- forty players, but if there are more good players who deserve a place in the sqaud, then this number will be increased' said du Pont.

Bhunya Secondary on the attackThe Wolves Rugby Club held their Inter High Schools Rugby Tournament yesterday at the Bhunya Sports Ground in Bhunya.  The three schools participating in the tournament were. Bhunya High, Osuthu Methodist High and Bhunya Secondary. 

The teams from Ngwazini and Bhekinkhosi with their SOSIRBKitaid rugby jerseysNgwazini and Bhekinkhosi the two teams who kicked off the Community Rugby Programme on Sunday both received rugby jerseys donated by the SOSIRBKitaid Programme.  Development Coach, Naomi du Pont handed out the Rugby jerseys before the kick off of the first game of the Community Rugby Programme.

Bhekinkhosi player on the breakOn Sunday the Rugby Union kicked off the Community Rugby Programme with a game played between Ngwazini and Bhekinkhosi played at the Bhekinkhosi Sports Ground.  "The Rugby Union have been holding Rugby Coaching Days at various Community Centres throughout the country and the response has been great.  At every coaching session we have had over fourty players of all ages both male and female wanting to know more about the game of Rugby" said du Pont.

Vondo's players in their SOSIRBKitaidFollowing the Vondo's Rugby Club U/12's Inter Schools Tag Rugby Tournament all five 'Man of the Match' and the 'Player of the Tournament' received Rugby jerseys donated by the SOSIRBKitaid.  The Man of the Match were, Sibusiso Twala, Jerry Madzimane, Ncedisi Dlamini, Bhendulo Thomo and Player of the Tournament, David Sikwanele.
