Rugby Day a great success
The try saving tackleThe Rugby Union held a Rugby Coaching Day on Saturday at the Vondos Rugby ground in Malkerns. Forty players attended this the first players Coaching Day of 2009. Head Development Coach, Mario De Sousa thanked the players for making the effort to attend the Coaching Day and welcomed all the new players who were there for the first time. This is the first of many Coaching Days the Rugby Union will be holding throughout 2009.
We will be holding Coaching Days in Mhlume in the east, Nhlangano in the south and Piggs Peak in the north. The Coaching Day was attended by players from Manzini, Lobamba, Malkerns and Ngwenya. Coach, Steve Reynolds said he was happy with the player turn out and was delighted to see both experienced and new players at the Coaching Day. This training session will give the new players a chance to get to know the game and learn from the more experienced players. Reynolds also thanked fellow Coaches Steve Price and Theo Viljoen from the Ngwenya Rugby Club for helping out with the Coaching Day. Today was not only for the players, but also for the Coaches to get together and share Coaching knowledge and ideas, added Reynolds.The hit and pass
