Young Rugby players at the Shukumi Sports DayThe Swaziland Rugby Union development coaches attended the Shukumi Sports Day held in the town of Lavumisa situated in the south of Swaziland. The coaches held coaching sessions for players of all ages, ending the day with a tag rugby tournament.

Bhekinkhosi player on the breakOn Sunday the Rugby Union kicked off the Community Rugby Programme with a game played between Ngwazini and Bhekinkhosi played at the Bhekinkhosi Sports Ground. "The Rugby Union have been holding Rugby Coaching Days at various Community Centres throughout the country and the response has been great. At every coaching session we have had over fourty players of all ages both male and female wanting to know more about the game of Rugby" said du Pont.
Inyatsi, The Presidents Select side to take on Edenpark Rugby Club

Rugby Union President, Michael Collinson announced the fixture at the Rugby Union offices today. "This will be the first game of 2010 and we are delight that Edenpark are to make the trip to Swaziland and help us kick start the 2010 season" said Collinson.
Rugby joins Queen Elizabeth II Baton Relay

The baton entered Swaziland on Friday and was carried across the country by runners from sports disciplines competing in the Games. The baton is making its way to Delhi in India for the up and coming 2010 Commonwelth Games. Carrying the baton for the Swaziland Rugby Union was Trainee Development Coach, Matthew du Pont.

SRU secretary Linda Cremer-Collinson and Union President, Michael Collinson with the New Years Eve delivery of SOSIRBKitaidThe SOSIRBKitaid delivererd their sixth kit delivery to Swaziland today. Over 500kgs of SOSKitaid arrived at the Rugby Union offices in Malkerns. Rugby Union secretary, Linda Cremer-Collinson was on hand to sign for the kit delivery.

.The International Rugby Board announced today that they are to give 2,000.00 pounds to the Swaziland Rugby Union to be used to buy Rugby balls for the SKRUM Programme. Rugby Union President, Michael Collinson thanked the IRB for their generosity and support for the SKRUM Programme and Rugby development within the country.

The three met to see the loadding of kit donated by Tavistock Rugby Club to SOSIRBKitaid.

SRU President, Michael Collinson with SARU President, Regan Hoskins and the donated Springbok jerseyThe South African Rugby Union (SARU) donated a signed Springbok jersey to the SKRUM Programme and the Swaziland Rugby Union over the weekend. The Rugby jersey was handed over to SRU secretary, Linda Cremer-Collinson at the IRB Gala dinner.
