Linkentjane players in action during a training sessionThe final travelling squad to take part in the Caldy Touraid Rugby Festival was announced today. Team manager and teacher at Lutfotja Primary announced the team today at the Rugby Union's offices. The team which wil be known as 'Linkentjani' (meaning jackal in SiSwati) was selected from the fifteen boys who made up the winning team in the Attie Lombard Rugby tournament.

Following elimination rounds played at venues throughout the country, the final six schools were, St Andrew's Primary, Mabamba Primary, Mangwayane Primary, Lutfotja Primary, Bhunya Primary and St Mary's Primary.

Mr. Zama Dlamini, sports teacher at Sibovu Nazarene PrimaryFollowing a contact coaching session held at the Sibovu Nazarene Primary school, head teacher Mrs. Gladness Khumalo and sports teacher Mr. Zama Dlamini received Rugby balls on behalf of the school as part of the Schools Rugby Development Programme.

Vuvulane High pupils in action during the tackle sessionThe Development Coaches held a Tag and Tackle Day at Vuvulane High School in the Lowveld. Following the Kudu's Inter Schools Rugby Tournament held two weeks ago, Vuvulane High sports teacher, Mr. Stanford Nkambule invited the coaches to his school to hold a tackle coaching session.

The girls on the attackPrestige Phalani High School in Mahlanya held a Tag Rugby Day at the Mahlanya Sports Ground yesterday. Both boys and girls took part in the session organised by the Rugby Develpment Coaches. Both the head teacher, Mr. Dlamini and sports teacher, Mr. Ncobe turned out to watch the traning session.
