Bethany Neave with Nonsikelelo GuleSKRUM volunteer Bethany Neave left Swaziland for the UK today. Bethany who has been volunteering with the SKRUM Programme and assisting with the Swaziland Rugby Union's 'Schools Rugby Development Programme' flew out from Matsapha.

Following the final training session for the national squad held on Saturday at the Kwaluseni Sports Ground on Saturday, the Rugby Union coaching team met on Sunday to select the twenty two man squad to face Botswana on Saturday 24th of November at the Mavuso Sports Centre in Manzini.

Girls at Enftubeni Primary during the SKRUM coaching sessionOn Thursday the SKRUM Programme visited its 500th school within Swaziland. The SKRUM Programme uses the game of rugby to educate young Swazi's between the ages of seven and twenty abouth HIV/AIDs and Gender Violence issues.

Following lengthy discussion between the Swaziland and Botswana Rugby Union's a date has been agreed upon for the second Test Match to be played in Swaziland. The new date will be Saturday November 24th and the game will be played at the Mavuso Sports Centre in Manzini.

A Mphetseni Primary player going for the try line at the Day of the Girl Child tag rugby tournamentAfter a great day of rugby it was to be Mphetseni Primary School who took the honours at the 'Day of the Girl Child tag rugby tournament held at the St Anne's sports ground in Malkerns.

William Pitcher students at the Rugby presentationThe coaches were at the William Pitcher Teacher Training College in Manzini on Thursday. The Rugby Union were invited to give a presentation on the game of rugby and discuss the possibility of rugby being included in the colleges sports curriculum.

The SKRUM Programme in conjunction with the Swaziland Rugby Union will be holding a Tag Rugby Tournament in Malkerns to Celebrate 'Day of the Girl Child' Four primary schools have been invited to participate in the tournament. Thursday 11th of October will see Mangwayane, St Anderw's, Mphetseni and Mhlanya Primary Schools battle it out at the St Anne's High School sports field.
